Edmonton Police Service Family Association (EPSFA) is made up of the main support persons of Edmonton Police Service Officers. The goal of EPSFA is to support the families and members of the Edmonton Police Service and our communities. We work toward this by providing information, education, connection and the common goal of supporting each other through our journey as a police family. Society now requires people to be more, do more and to withstand so much more than they once did. Providing tools and knowledge to both EPS families and EPS members will allow all parties to walk away with the same tools to grow together as a police family but also as individuals.
The EPS Family Association began as the EPS Wives Association in 2011, evolved into the EPS Spouses Association in 2019 and now the EPS Family Association in 2023 and has grown to over 500 members. Our group was the first spouse support association in Canada and we have mentored many others over the years. As our group has grown and as we have helped many people over the years we have come to recognize that by becoming a Family Association we are able to reach all EPS and first responder families to provide support and connection.
Our association is ran by a group of eight amazing volunteers that spend their time outside of their jobs, families and lives to open their hearts and support EPS and first responder families. Gitanjali, Tammie, Kori, Shelby, and Natalie all come from different stages in a police families career and all bring a wide range of experience and knowledge.
